Gears of War 4 - 'Hold on Scion'

I think about Gears of War a lot. Lately those thoughts are mostly consumed by Gears of War 4 and its new enemies, the Swarm. But then there's their leaders, the mysterious Scions... who behave exactly like the Boomers in the original trilogy. Which is to say, dumb. And slow. And while they may be accurate with their instakill guns, so too were the Boomers. Who were dumb. And slow.

Unique death animations and gore physics would go a looong way toward beefing up the Scions without actually changing their AI. Say, a frag grenade, Boomshot, or Dropshot exploding at their feet would only obliterate their legs, leaving the upper half to hold itself up on the ground for a brief moment before expiring, with a furious growl seeping from its lips. I've got some more ideas from a notebook that I'll upload next.

Also, "Small Soldiers" was a huge influence on my childhood and I couldn't resist a chance to finally reference it.
